Nate wanted to snuggle with Dylan while watching a movie. Notice how Nate is copying how Dylan has his arms :)
Nate is getting sleepy. We got him in pajamas, and he snuggled back up to Dylan and quickly did this....

Nate Quote of the Day
Nate had a difficult evening. I teach his class at church, and he was NOT behaving well. After several incidents, I unfortunately had to pull out the big gun. After we made it home, I was talking Nate through why I had to pull out the big gun. He was telling my the reasons why he got in trouble, and then he sobbed (and I mean sobbed), "But what about all the things I do right?"
Tonight's class was about Noah. I was asking the kids if they knew what a flood was. One little boy (not Nate) thought that a flood was what happened when your toilet started overflowing. Another little boy (still not Nate) INSISTED that there were dinosaurs on the ark. Never boring when you are teaching 3's, 4's, and 5's.

Being Spoiled by the Weather - Zoo Day!
On Tuesday, the big boys went back to school. The cousins were still in town, and the weather was still scrumptous, so we headed to the zoo.
My nieces
My nephew ran around really quick to sneak in the picture - he is a hoot.
An attempt at a group shot
I don't know what this look is, but it scares me. It scares me A LOT.
Looking at the lion
My nephew, Ben, loved the birds!
So did Nate
So did my niece, Emily
Lots of bird pictures. Sorry about that. Okay, not really. I like them, and it IS my blog ;)
Emily liked to dump the birds off of her stick
My niece, Hannah, did NOT like the birds. See her clinging to her mom in the background?
She did smile for a picture.
It was a great day. Thank you God for the beautiful weather.

Oh Deer
Chase is just a little bit proud of his first deer. Once again, I have another dead deer head in my home! Was one girl really too much to ask for? ;) Really, mostly, kidding. I love my boys and all the joys (dead or otherwise) that they bring into my home.
Sigh.....
Sigh.....

Pretty Perfect Park Day
What to do when the cousins come to visit, and the boys don't have school, and it is in the 70's?!
Trip to the park!
Nate loved pushing his cousin, Emily, around ;)
My nephew, Ben.....
.....being silly!
Cade took a turn at pushing Emily around! My boys love Emily.
She is pretty cute :)
My niece, Hannah, who loves our puppy. The feeling is not always mutual.
I wish we had more winter days like this! Perfection!

What Not to Wear
Dylan, Dylan, Dylan. I love me some Dylan, but that boy is a mess! I have worked with him on matching clothes, but he doesn't seem to get it. He is such a smart boy, but he can't seem to figure out how to coordinate clothes. He has not learned that just because both articles of clothing have green in them that does not mean that they match. Of course, if I was a better morning mom, then I would catch more of these mistakes before they walked out the door. He came home in this lovely ensemble. I discussed with him that his outfit really did not match that well. He then proceeded to tell me that he had U.I.L. pictures that day at school. Dylan, Dylan, Dylan.
Cade had Western Day at school. Now, even though I am a farm girl, I was never a big fan of cowboy attire. As a result, my boys do not have a lot of cowboy gear. Anything they do own was purchased by my Mom. We rustled up enough cowboy clothes for Cade to wear to school He was particularly proud of his spurs. I am sure that his teacher loved me for that one :)
