Up Above

This morning I woke up way too early but later than I needed to and
headed to the airport (a little too fast, but we won't talk about
that). I made my flight with minutes to spare. Everything was a
depressing gray when we took off. We broke through the clouds (before
the ding that signals 10,000 feet), and there was wonderful sunshine.
The early morning sunshine touching the floor formed by the clouds was
breathtakingly beautiful, and refreshing to my spirit. Too soon, we
descended back into the gray. Good reminder for me that there is
always joy and beauty up above, even if I can't see it.
