From Cade
I forgot to post the book that Cade made for me for Mother's Day. I love these books, and I will be so sad when my boys get too big to make these.
My mom wears many hats in our family. My mom is a teacher. She taught me how to koote ade to grow plants (count and to grow plants - that is so random) This is a stick figure counting and another stick figure with flowers - he has inherited my amazing artistic skills :)
My mom is a nurse. She always makes me feel better when I fo up (throw up). This includes a lovely stick figure who is throwing up - ewww
My mom is a good housekeeper. When she sees my room, she says, tehat is eat (that is great). I won't even comment on that one.
My mom is a chauffeur. She drives me to CC (CiCis)
My mom is the very best mom ever! (complete with a drawing of me)

How Was Your Sunday?
I was working in Houston yesterday. I had a decent morning flight, translation - not too early. I was reflecting on how fortunate it is that there are so many little pleasures in life. Like the night that I missed my exit and had to go the long way home, only to be treated to a wonderful fireworks display (I love fireworks). Or the bunny rabbit right next to the runway, what was it doing there? I was thinking about how fortunate I am to have the job that I have. I would rather not work, but at least I get to do something that I am passionate about. I also have a super flexible schedule, and I meet the most fascinating people. I was thinking about all of this, when Mark called. Dylan was complaining of a headache and had a fever. For Dylan, this almost always means that he has strep throat. I called to check on him a few times, and he still had a high fever even with Motrin. He even took a long nap!! I got home about 7:30. I took Dylan to the urgent care center and the strep throat was confirmed. We then went to fill his prescription. The wait was long. Dylan was not feeling well. I gave him a dose of Motrin, which he promptly threw up - IN MY CAR! So, we head inside the CVS, wash and buy cleaning supplies. I cleaned up the puke in the dark parking lot - so much fun!!!! You should have seen the look on the guy's face who parked next to us when he came to get in his car and I was cleaning up puke right next to the driver's side. My poor Dylan.
So, did anyone else have a better Sunday?

Last Day of Museum School
Last Monday was Cade's last day of museum school. It was the last chance for Nate and me to go to the zoo alone for a couple of hours.
Nate accidentally stepped on a bird. He found it amusing and kept trying to step on more birds. Should I be worried?
Cade had to crawl up on the museum school turtle one last time!
Mother's Day
We took our 3rd annual Mother's Day trip to Six Flags. I don't think there is any better way to spend my Mother's Day. Here are a few pictures from my camera phone since I forgot my camera.
Chase and I rode the Titan. We were almost at the front of the line, when they shut down the ride. It seems that they had a little "mess" to clean up. They were running 3 cars, but can you guess which car I ended up in? They did not do the best job of cleaning. There was plenty of "evidence" left in the car. EWWWWW!

4th Grade Play Day
Wednesday was Play Day for the 4th grade. Chase was super excited! Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate very well. Play Day did happen, it was just a little wet and delayed. I was able to go for just a little bit. I managed to get soaking wet during the time that I was there. Chase had a great time! He won a second place ribbon and 2 first place ribbons. He feels that he was robbed of 1st place in the event that he placed 2nd in - cracks me up! Another thing, Chase definitely did not get any athletic skills from me!
The 2nd place ribbon - he was ROBBED!
Messpot!
Bubble Boys
Nate found some bubble wrap. I had him jump on it once; he would not do it again. He loved watching Cade jump on it.
Here we are trying to get Nate to jump on the bubble wrap again - see how he is leaning back
In case there is any doubt, Nate is putting his feet off of the floor and telling Cade to jump on it.
Here he is trying to get Cade to jump on it again. Bubble wrap is so much fun!
