A Good Deed Gone Bad

Since I was working last Saturday, Mark took the boys to a gun show. So sorry that I missed that one! On their way home, they stopped at Taco Bell. Another disappointing miss for me! They had an uneaten burrito, so as they were leaving Mark offered the burrito to a hard-on-his-luck man. The man readily accepted it, then an employee started to berate the man for bothering this family. The man started yelling back that he was not bothering them, but that it was offered to him. Mark told the employee that he had indeed offered the man the burrito. The man then proceeds to start yelling at the employee including some choice, not kid appropriate phrases. Mark got his attention and pointed out the fact that children were right there. He apologized, then he proceeded to go to the employee and continue the tirade. Not quite the lesson that Mark was hoping to teach the boys.

An interesting discovery that Mark made this past weekend. Downy Wrinkle Releaser is the only thing that seems to tame Cade's crazy, style resistant hair! I don't even what to know his thought process that led to him trying that. I have to admit that I have followed his lead :)

UGH! Those types of confrontations can really stick in kids' minds, too. Years ago we saw two guys get into a shouting match in line for the Titan, and we still can't ride that ride without mentioning those guys!

Still, it's awesome that Mark was so kind to the man!

I am slowly seeing some of the creative ways Thomas deals with issues with Callie, although non have included a household product (yet). I do foresee him being the kind of parent that says, "Put some Windex on it." (Maybe that is because we watch too many movies.) Mark is a creative man - not to mention, a good example for the boys with his giving nature!

Remember the Windex from "My Best Friend's Wedding?" I see that in your future. Thanks for being there Sunday. Glad you knew my friend Brooke!
