Busy, Busy Saturday!

Mark took the boys to a birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese while I took Cade to his soccer game. Nate loved the rides at Chuck E. Cheese. After the soccer game, Cade and joined the birthday party. Then, Cade had another birthday party at Let's Jump! Fun! I was so proud of Cade. He spilled his cake and his Gatorade all over the floor and all over himself and he remained CALM!!!!!!! He did not scream hysterically or screech like a banshee. He remained CALM!!!! Maybe the end is in sight! I was so proud of him and praised him profusely!! Posted by Picasa

Cade in Inaction!

How to describe Cade playing soccer, umm - Spectator on the Field! He likes to watch the action and not get involved. The only time he touches the ball is when it is his turn to kick-off! He is most interested in resting and getting a drink of water! Posted by Picasa

The Cadsta

" Oh, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry" is a common phrase from Cade. It is normally prefaced by Nate crying or by a big crash. Maybe Cade was loving a little too hard on Nate or trying to carry Nate without success. The other day, Cade thought that Nate needed a snack so he proceeded to climb up (yes, you are reading correctly) the pantry resulting in a tremendous crash because all of Nate's baby food jars were knocked to the tile floor resulting in a tremendous mess!!! Glass, yucky meat juice, and meat sticks all over the place. Good times! It is hard to get mad at him because he is loving on or helping his brother.

Cade had his first soccer game on Saturday! I would have pictures but Mark took the camera to the deer lease (and he left it in Abilene!!!). One word sums up Cade at the soccer game - Clueless. Oh my! A friend put some grass on him (horror). He got hurt and cried so I showed him how to shake it off so next time he got hurt he started shaking all over (forgetting about playing). Yes, Cade was standing in the middle of the field shaking himself silly while all the other boys were on a different part of the field playing soccer. This boy needs some help!! I am definitely feeling that half-day Kindergarten will not be a good thing for him. He is such a character!

A quick Dylan story. He had an issue that required discipline. He was not very pleased with my discipline choice. He was so upset that he told me that he could not talk to me right now because he would say something mean. I must have chosen the right discipline - Ba ha ha (evil laughter). Posted by Picasa

Happy Dance

Did you hear my yells of joy?!?! I am doing the happiest, happy dance ever!! My computer is fixed! Many, many, many, many thanks to Jeff B.! He was over here until around 11:30 last night fixing my computer!! It had been looked at by many, many computer experts but no one could fix it, except for Jeff B. Sweet relief!

P.S. How many of you thought that I was pregnant?

Crocodile Hunter

We are all saddened by the death of the Crocodile Hunter. Chase and Dylan both love to watch him in action - especially Chase. I love how he was so passionate about his work. He deeply loved his family. That love was evident every time he spoke about his wife, his children, and his parents. I love how he spoke about how his parents were the best parents ever. I never minded the boys watching him on television because I knew that they were learning to respect God's creatures and to respect others. Dylan was crying last night because he was so sad. He told me that he had prayed to God that God would bring him back to life. I told him that we could pray for his family because they are very sad right now. What an impact his life has had on so many people.

Watch Out!

Chase pushing Nate in the swing. The weather has been so beautiful this weekend. It is amazing how quickly the 100 degree weather just went away. So pleasant. Posted by Picasa

Cade would swing for hours if I would let him.
My nephew Ben, this is before he discovered the fire ant mound - NOT fun!
My nephew Lang, he kept the helmet on for protection!

Fun with the Cousins!

Our cute niece Lanae - if I can't have girls, at least I can have cute nieces!

Nate having fun swinging!

The cousins came to visit this weekend! The boys always love it when their cousins come to play. They played and played and played. On Saturday, we were able to go to an indoor jump house place (forgot my camera). That was so much fun - although I have a very sore spot on my anatomy from a sliding injury :) They played at the house and they played at the park. One of the best parts of the weekend was that I was able to meet my new niece Hannah for the first time. I don't know why I did not get a picture! She is so sweet. Seeing her gives me girl envy all over again! Posted by Picasa

Go Cowboys!!!

Some friends of ours gave us 2 tickets to a preseason Cowboys' game. We really appreciate their kindness. We have really wanted to take the boys to a game but it is just so expensive! Dylan got to go to the game with his Daddy! Chase did not understand why he was not the one chosen to go. Just because he is the oldest that does not mean that he gets to do everything first. Dylan had a great time with Daddy. The thing that he has talked the most about is the halftime activity which involved Pee Wee football teams playing against each other! At least he didn't come home talking about the cheerleaders! Posted by Picasa
