We feel very blessed to live in a neighborhood with wonderful people. We really enjoy all of our neighbors (and their children!). Grace is one of our wonderful neighbors. She knew that I had been looking for a kitchen for Nate. I had specific requirements (no pink!) and I wanted to find a used one in good condition because I did not want to spend close to $200. Grace found Nate a kitchen and she gave it to him!! He was so excited! It was in the downstairs hallway for a minute and he was loving playing with it. I moved it a foot and he became distressed with me - and he scooted it right back. Then I picked it up to move it upstairs - the tragedy!! Nate thought his kitchen was not going to stay. Once it was upstairs, he was fine and had the best time playing with it. He was NOT happy when I made him go to bed. He loves it!!!! Thanks, Grace!! Grace also got him a little motorized motorcycle. Nate loves playing with it. He has only made it go once, but he really enjoys pushing Cade around on it. When Cade gets up, Nate says, "No Cade, sit down. SIT DOWN!" Grace, we really appreciate it!

Fourth of July
Fun at the Farm
After my girl's weekend, Cade and I drove up to the farm. Chase, Dylan, and Nate were already there. The boys had a great time - except for Chase with his asthma. Here are some pictures from the fun.

Dylan has really enjoyed playing the piano at Mimi's house. He will just sit down and start playing his scales. I would love for him to take piano lessons except for 3 important facts - 1) we don't have a piano or a place to put a piano, 2) I have no idea about where to look for a piano teacher, and 3) money. Maybe in the future.

Nate finding trouble

Nate's schedule was all off - here he fell asleep while loving on his bubba.
We made chocolate ice cream - Nate thought it was yummy!

Aunt Kristen and Cade
Nate didn't want to go to bed - his new stall tactic is too ask for Chase or for Cade or for Dylan or for Daddy. Here he was asking for Daddy so he was allowed to sit with him for a few minutes - his face is saying, "I won!"

The boys had a good time playing in the field, playing in the grain, riding in trucks and tractors and combines. Chase had fun with all of this until his asthma got the better of him. Then he got to go shopping with the girls - BIG fun for him, or not.

College Friends
After the trip to Abilene, I was able to stay at this beautiful home and spend time with some of my friends from college. It was wonderful to see everyone. Tonya's friends let us use their beautiful home. It was so generous of them. I later found out that their oldest son is friends with my sister! I even met him the next week in Amarillo. Small world.
Did I say that this was Tonya's friends' house - really, it is our secret vacation home ;-)
Everybody who was able to come except for me and Melissa (she left earlier in the day) Alison (next to Mandy in the red shirt) left her 3 babies and her 2 older girls for the first time!!
