Trick or Treat

Cade ditched his zombie outfit for his penguin outfit. He was very happy with his choice. He loved hearing people comment on his costume. I am guessing that he was the only penguin out there. The boys had a great time trick or treating. Chase handed out candy, and then he went trick or treating with some friends. I guess we aren't good enough for him anymore :(

My zombie, penguin, scary something, and spider

Nate wore out and wanted to be carried. I didn't mind.
Mark didn't mind either
Cade put back on his costume and went to bed on the couch. He really wanted to sleep in his costume. Such a silly boy.

Nate Quote of the Day

After Chase's second football game today (at which Chase totally rocked), "Hey, where is my Caderaider?" Not a sweet brother asking for his brother Cade (whose nickname is Cader Raider), but a boy who is wanting to make sure that he gets a Gatorade. After we were home, he asked for it again. I told him that it was in the car, and he told me that it was not his "responsibility" to get it. I wonder what he thinks his responsibilities are? Playing, watching tv, snacking, being waited on hand and foot, etc...

Fall Festival

Cade's school had their annual fall festival on the 30th. Cade switched from the zombie costume to his beloved penguin costume. He wore it for about 10 minutes and then Mark carried it around for the rest of the evening. Chase and Dylan were too cool for costumes. For some reason, I did not get any pictures of Dylan. He really was there.

My costume boys
Chase was glad to find a good friend at the event.
Nate was thrilled that the Flips bus was back. He loved this bus last year and went on it over and over again. He enjoyed it again this year, but he wasn't as obsessive about it.
The petting zoo was fun!

In-Class Band Concert

Nate and I went to watch Chase play the trombone during his in-class concert. Nate was very excited to see Chase. He waved and waved until Chase waved back. Nate truly ADORES Chase.

Our dog, Maggie, is very scared of Chase's trombone when Chase plays it at home. It is quite entertaining ;)

Nate's Preschool Party and New Smile

Nate had a great time at his preschool party. I was able to come and help with the bean bag toss. Nate inherited my athletic ability. He was by far the WORST in the class. Didn't bother him!

In the bounce house
Nate's new smile, complete with head tilt.

Playing musical chairs
The smile again
And again :)

Trunk of Treats

I had to be in El Paso on the night of Trunk of Treats. Mark took the boys and Chase's friend. The boys had fun, and Mark survived.

Nate is a spider. You can't tell it, but he is. Look at Cade's bird legs sticking out of his zombie costume.

Nate LOVES donuts, so he was thrilled to have a cup full of donut holes.

ACU Homecoming

Mark and I made it back to ACU for our 15 year reunion. It appears that we were one of the few who made it back

At breakfast, we were the only 3 Kojies from our class. I was thrilled to spend time with them!!
Watching the parade with my sister-in-law's sister and my niece.

My sister-in-law was on the Coming Home Court

The Kojie float was definitely the best!
The candy at the parade was a big hit.

Sheri's 5th grader and my 5th grader. In case you don't notice, they are on opposite ends of the growth chart!
My kids, Sheri's kids, and Anna's kids. Notice the one lone girl.
My sister-in-law, Kristen, with Chase at chapel
My niece and nephew
Half-time at the football game.
Our reunion dinner with 18 people!!!!! EIGHTEEN!!! Can you tell that we had a lot of great people in our class but not a lot of participation? It was a wonderful group of people, and we had a great time. We were glad that we went even though there were only 18 people ;)

Random Phone Pictures End of August - October

On Nate's actual birthday, we ate at Rosa's with Mimi. Rosa's was so great to Nate! They sang to him, gave him some cake, and even gave him a present. He was so very excited!!

I had some work in San Antonio, so we all went and hit Fiesta Texas. We stayed on the waterpark side. It was a fun trip. This picture is as we were leaving. Nate kept falling asleep while Mark carried him.
Nate went with me on an appointment in East Texas. A stop for Dairy Queen ice cream was a must!
Poor sweet Nate had to have 5 shots at his 4-year-old well-check visit. It was not a pretty sight :( We got ice cream on the way home. That really did make it better.
Cade LOVES Maggie. He will hold her hostage on his lap. She doesn't mind it too much!
