Ski Trip Set 2

Nate had no desire to try skiing.  He wanted to be spoiled by Mimi.  He did think it was great fun to try ski boots.

Normally, the ground would be completely covered with snow

Ski Trip - Set 1

We were able to take a ski trip with my family.  The snow conditions were horrible - HORRIBLE, but it was okay since the kids are beginners.  There was 1 run open in the front, and 2 runs open in the back.  The lift tickets were half off which was a bonus!  The crowds weren't bad at all, and the run in the back was in good shape.  Overall, everyone had a great time.

Cade really wanted to try skiing this time.  Mark took him while I went off with Chase and Dylan.  Cade did better than expected.  I thought he did a great job!  I was proud of his attitude and the joy that he showed even when he fell.  He liked it so much that he wanted to ski again the next day.  Things like this are hard for my boy, so I was extra proud of him.

Ski Trip Picture

We were able to take a ski trip with my family over Christmas break.  Cade went skiing for the first time.  He did really well :-)  More about the ski trip later but here is a picture at the top of the mountain.

Birthday Party on the Ski Trip

Cade's actual birthday was on the first day that we were in New Mexico. Of course we had to celebrate.

My boy still loves penguins...and he is teaching Nate to love them also
I love how my dad has the same expression as Cade

Ski Trip - Set 4

Ski classes were full, and we didn't feel equipped to teach Cade how to ski since he has some struggles with his gross motor skills. He did get to go tubing down the mountain with me. He was so very happy!

Lunch before the tubing fun started

There he goes!

It was soooo hot. We shed clothes. Luckily, the middle of the tube held the clothes.

I really wanted to take my hat off, but then I would have revealed horrible hat hair!

After the tubing, Cade had a lot of fun sliding down this hill on his bottom
