O Christmas Tree

My dad actually helped set up my Christmas tree - something he is not a fan of doing.  He must love me.

The boys had a great time hanging up the ornaments.

Chase took care of the high ones.
Grammy sends the chocolate Advent calendars every year - and the boys love them every year.

Thanksgiving 2010

Yes, I am just now posting about Thanksgiving.  Things have been busy!

We had Thanksgiving at our house this year.  I didn't take a lot of pictures, because, well, I was busy.  Mark's parents, my parents, Mark's sister (the one in Abilene) and her family were all at our house.

Mark's mom had a craft project for the kids - making Oreo turkeys.

Pretty cute
I forgot to take any pictures after this.  Did I mention that life has been busy?

Cade's Project

Cade's project on Capt. Sully.  We call these "projects" parent homework.  You know it's true.

Basketball

We went from football into basketball.  I played basketball growing up, so I am loving watching Chase play.

The first game was at his friend's school, so his friend came to watch.  I couldn't get his friend to say who he was rooting for ;-)

More Football

This one was from his next to last game, I didn't manage any good ones from his last game.

Mimi made it to this game
His little brothers loved putting on his pads
I think he has a future in football

Halloween 2010

Chase's friend had a great costume!

This year we had a ninja, a bloody teenager who is too cool for any other costume, Darth, and someone Fett.  We had a great time that night.  Cade, my boy who loves, loves, LOVES Halloween was still running a high fever.  I was the bad mom who dosed my kid up on Motrin and let him go trick or treating.

Air Show

If you live in our house, you just might run into Darth Vader

My mom went with Mark and the boys to the air show.  They had fun but left early when Cade started to run a high fever.  That was the start of a fever virus which was followed by a couple of stomach bugs and strep.  He had a very rough fall health wise.

Papa Comes to Chase's Game

Another football game, and my boy still looks cute in a uniform.

Papa was able to come to this game

Trunk of Treats

Yes, I am posting Halloween events right now - when it is January - that is just how I roll lately

Chase was too big to wear a costume to our church's Trunk of Treats - sniff, sniff
Because of the weather, events were moved indoors

Cade's 3rd Grade Program

Cade's 3rd grade program - prepare yourself for the high quality pictures that always come from a program of this sort - especially when you give your camera to your 11-year-old to take the pictures.

Cade didn't tell us that he had an actual part - he begged, begged, begged to wear these shorts, so I let him.  It did make me feel like the bad parent who didn't dress who son properly, but it did make him happy.

A Zoo Trip

We were able to go to the zoo with some friends.  It was a beautiful day.  I don't remember if this was September or October.

His eyes are super sensitive to light, but he will rarely wear his sunglasses.

Silly faces

More of Chase's Football Games

So, maybe I am still updating from September....eventually I will be caught up.

Giving his baby brother some of his Skittles - no wonder Nate adores him.
