Chase grilled for the 1st time. He makes a yummy hamburger. He also had another 1st. For the low cost bribe of 15 extra game playing minutes, he gave himself a shot. He has been mixing his medicine for a while, but we could not get him to poke himself. Can't blame him. If he can poke himself, then we don't have to worry about sending him places and trying to find someone to give him his shot. Yeah, Chase.

Way to go, Chase! The burger and the shot are both causes for celebration. What milestones!
The self-treatment thing has been a blessing to us, that's for sure. We no longer have to worry about infusion days when the kids are at their grandparents', and Ryan has gained so much confidence from being able to do it all himself.
WOW! That's so awesome! I don't think 15 hours of extra play time would have convinced me to give myself a shot!
