The Storm
The boys found the hailstones on Friday very impressive! Nate stood at the back door during the storm saying, "Wow, cool" as the hail came down. We kept an eye on the news in order to make sure that we were not in the path of a tornado. Mark was able to clear the garage out quick enough so that both cars were protected. We were afraid that Mark would have to go into work the next day. I really did not want that to happen because then I would have to spend 4 hours outside in the cold with 4 boys at the soccer games (2 games and 2 picture times = 4 hours). Fortunately, (for us anyway) the catastrophe team was called in and Mark did not have to go to work. We split the soccer day (he took Cade and I took Dylan) so we only froze for 2 hours. It was sooooo cold Saturday. Mid-April soccer games are supposed to be HOT!!! Hopefully next weekend will be normal weather!

Wow...fun times! We got a couple inches of snow again Friday night. It was kind of nice b/c Saturday ended up being a little chilly, but beautiful and all snow was gone by mid-morning. Crazy April! I just informed mom & dad b/c I forgot they were talking about huge hail in Hurst on the news. They're coming Wed to check on everything.
I think cold-rainy-windy-blistering hot weather is normal--for soccer season! When Katie played, it seemed like we never had just a pleasant spring afternoon. It was like the worst weather for the whole week was saved for those soccer Saturdays.
Ryan and Katie didn't get to see the hail coming down (which is too bad because those hailstones made awesome KER-PLUNKS into the pool!), but they were excited to find hail in the yard after the worst had passed.
